Although 99% of the limousine dealers/importers and private sellers are very reliable, there are a few dealers/importers out there that give the limousine industry a bad name and something needs to be done by the government. It is our opinion that all limousine owners/drivers should be private hire licensed, so at least you know your car is thoroughly safety checked and most importantly that your drivers are police checked .  However there are some councils that will not agree to license them and we would like to see this changed, sooner rather than later. We disagree with all this limited PSV, and the so called 7 day Contract is just a joke. Hopefully one day the councils will license all limousines to keep more control over this industry. The Limousine in these pictures PASSED an SVA/MOT, simply because they do not have the facilities to carry out a structural strength test.

As you can see this limousine looks beautiful with a lovely shine, nice clean body work, but underneath it is a completely different story.

Black Limo
This is just one of the limousines that was imported in 2005. It turned out that this one had been hit by a truck in the USA and became a total loss. It how ever ended up here in the UK .
These pictures show the quality of the workmanship from a USA back street body repair shop. The point of this is how do you know what you are really buying? The answer is simple have the vehicle inspected thoroughly before handing over your hard earned cash.
If you look close at the picture below, you will see 3-4 cuts in the floor, on this particular limousine.
The Moral of this is simple.
When you are thinking of purchasing a new limo my first advice would be to spend about £11.50 on obtaining a carfax on the internet, which is a equivalent to having a HPI check here in the UK.
Secondly, spend a lot of time, checking thoroughly inside and out and not forgetting at least a 20 - 50 mile test drive, to ensure it
drives well and everything works correctly.
